We’re excited to announce the Call for Presenters for OktemberFEST 2026, taking place October 7–8, 2026 at Prairie Meadows in Altoona!
We’re looking for county IT and GIS professionals who are willing to share their knowledge, experiences, and innovative ideas with their peers from across Iowa. If you’ve completed an exciting project, solved a challenging problem, implemented a new technology, or have lessons learned that could benefit other counties, we’d love to hear from you.
Presentation topics may include, but are not limited to:
• Cybersecurity
• Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• GIS Data Management & Analysis
• Drone/UAS Applications
• Mapping & Visualization
• Cloud Technologies
• Networking & Infrastructure
• Microsoft 365
• Virtualization
• IT Leadership & Management
• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
• Emerging Technologies
• Automation & Scripting
• Help Desk & End-User Support
• Real-World Case Studies and Lessons Learned
Presentation sessions are available in 15-, 30-, and 60-minute formats. We encourage sessions that are educational, interactive, and focused on practical solutions that attendees can take back to their own counties.
You don’t have to be a professional presenter—if you’ve learned something that could help another county, we encourage you to share it!
