Iowa State Extension – Essentials of ArcGIS Pro Workshop

November 12 - November 13
$600

ISU Extension and Outreach has space available in our next Essentials of ArcGIS Pro workshop on November 12-13 in Ames, Iowa.

Many organizations have made the move from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro, while others are still working through the transition. If you’re looking to sharpen your ArcGIS Pro skills or become more comfortable using Esri’s current desktop GIS platform, this workshop is a great place to start.

This in-person, two-day workshop is geared toward GIS professionals who are new to ArcGIS Pro, occasional GIS users who want more hands-on experience, and longtime ArcMap users ready to make the switch. Training focuses on practical skills that participants can immediately apply in their organizations.

Topics include:

  • Getting Started with ArcGIS Pro – Learn the Pro interface, project structure, and key workflows.
  • Working with Data and Maps – Create and edit GIS data, apply symbology, and build professional-quality map layouts.
  • Essential Geoprocessing Tools – Gain experience with frequently used tools such as selections, buffers, clips, and other spatial analysis workflows.

Over the years, we’ve welcomed participants from city and county governments, utilities, regional planning organizations, state agencies, and more! Beyond the technical training, the workshop is also a great opportunity to connect with other GIS professionals and share ideas, challenges, and best practices.

When: November 12-13, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where: ISU Economic Development Core Facility, 1805 Collaboration Place, Ames, IA 50010

Cost: $600 per registrant. Discounts are available for groups of 2 (10% off) or 3+ (15% off).
