Do you thrive working in a fast-paced environment where communication, teamwork, customer service, and a positive attitude are valued and appreciated?  The Iowa DOT, Local Systems Bureau is hiring for our Transportation Planner 2 – Federal-aid Project Manager.  Troy Schroeder, our former Federal-aid Project Manager, has recently taken on a new role in the Program Management Bureau here at Iowa DOT.

Local Systems Mission is to “Serve and support transportation partners in the funding, development and implementation of their projects to assist with compliance of state and federal policies and procedures. Through collaboration, the Local Systems Bureau strives to enhance the safety, quality, and growth of infrastructure in Iowa.”

The Transportation Alternatives Set-aside (TA Set-aside) Program awards federal funds to a variety of smaller-scale transportation projects such as pedestrian and bicycle facilities, recreational trails, safe routes to school projects, and community improvements. The salary range for the Federal-aid Project Manager position is $65,520 to $101,462.40.
