IGIC top priority items for 2008-2009 as determined by IGIC Board at December 4, 2007 brainstorming session

Provide and maintain a one-stop website for GIS in Iowa (events, jobs, news, job descriptions, templates, policies)
Define and lead on the development of the Iowa Geospatial Infrastructure (IGI)
Sponsor conference
Coordination and information dissemination with Iowa GIS professionals
Data clearinghouse coordination
Strategic Plan for GIS in Iowa (state level)
Promote, develop, and encourage use of data standards for Iowa GIS data products
Promote data sharing
Serve as an advisor role for GIS to state level decision-makers
Help all 99 counties use GIS and coordinate GIS activities
