Position Available Boone County GIS/IT Technician

Boone County, Iowa (population of 26,000+ located in central Iowa) is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, experienced and team-minded individual to work with and improve Boone County's computerized Geographic Information System (GIS) and service and support Boone County's computers, users, and network.


The position reports to the Boone County IT Administrator, but will be working closely with other Boone County Departments to improve and create: development data, software support, application development, mobile and web-based GIS, data analysis and distribution, research, and the production of reports, maps and other GIS output. Salary range of $35,000 to $42,000 annually depending on experience and education. Boone County offers a very extensive benefit package to include sick leave, vacation, and medical insurance.
