GIS Director Jasper County, Iowa Jasper County, Iowa is seeking a GIS Director to manage the use and implementation of geospatial technologies throughout the County. The successful applicant will support all GIS functions and activities throughout the County, and represent the County at the regional and State level. This position will report to the Board of Supervisors. Minimum job qualifications include general computer operating system knowledge, ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal contexts, ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate physical and human resources, and the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues. The candidate must be proficient in the use of ESRI technologies and have a thorough understanding of GIS administration, system integration, database functionality and spatial data presentation. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or closely related field, a minimum of five (5) years experience in GIS / Information Technology implementation and administration, and three (3) years of Local Government experience.
