ILGISA Fall Conference

 "Empowering People/Evolving GIS" promises to be both an equally educational experience as well as a great time to re-connect with fellow professionals from around the state.  The Fall Conference Committee has been working very hard on sorting through the numerous presentations, lightning talks and posters that have been submitted by both professionals and students interested in GIS.  Please take a moment and look at the complete agenda on the website as all presentations and workshops are now listed!  As you do so, please keep in mind the following.... EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION DISCOUNTS END in ONE WEEK on September 17, 2010.  After that, rates will increase for all attendee's!  Get that PO# submitted, your travel request signed off and Register TODAY!

Keep in mind that ILGISA has a block of discounted hotel rooms at Country Inn & Suites.  These discounted rates will vanish on September 30 so reserve your roomnow.

Remember that the Fall Conference is also ILGISA's annual membership meeting. 

It will take place the morning of October 21, 2010 at the Naperville campus of Northern Illinois University at 8:30 am.  Join us as the Board of Director's present the annual report on finances, future initiatives, announcement of the 2011 Board of Directors and present the Annual Service, Dahlberg and the newly created Hilton Distinguished Collaboration Award.  Following the meeting, our keynote speak, William Henning, a Registered Professional Land Surveyor with over 41 years of active experience in all phases of surveying technology will speak to conference attendee's.  Mr. Henning is a Past President of the American Association for Geodetic Surveying (AAGS) and is an ACSM/AAGS Fellow. He is currently employed by NOAA’s National Geodetic Survey (NGS) as a Senior Geodesist, where he is helping to develop guidelines and support methodology for real time positioning with state, national and international organizations.
