Bob Lemen
USGS Geospatial Liaison for Iowa (Cartographer). Bob has been with the USGS for nearly 32 years and is located in Rolla, MO. He has served in many positions and has been assigned to various details throughout his career. In his current position as State Liaison he works with Federal, State, and local government organizations, academia, and the private sector to carry out the mission of the Geospatial Information Office by promoting and implementing NSDI. This is accomplished in part by partnering with the wide variety of organizations that develop and work with geospatial data. Developing and sustaining long-term partnerships for the acquisition and maintenance of geospatial data along with working with other organizations to develop web services to display this data are primary goals.
