Bob Lemen
USGS Geospatial Liaison for Iowa (Cartographer). Bob, located in Rolla, MO, has been with the USGS for 34 years. He has served in many positions and has been assigned to various details throughout his career. In his current position as State Liaison he works with Federal, State, and local government organizations, academia, and the private sector to carry out the mission of the National Geospatial Program by cultivating and maintaining long-term relationships with partners and developing agreements for The National Map, and other initiatives that advance the NSDI and support USGS science. These partnerships leverage funding across organizations to provide significant cost savings, reduce redundancy in geospatial data acquisition and stewardship, and ensure availability of common base data to a broad range of users and applications.
